“He has been extremely helpful to my business in modernizing our financial reporting... when I was ready to hire his team for additional accounting services, he explained we really didn't need them and, in the process, saved us significant money.”

Is This You?

Who Is This For?

Who This Is For:

  • You own a US business doing $500K or more a year, usually set up as an S-corp or a partnership.
  • Someone files your returns every spring, but nobody plans your taxes while the year is still open.
  • You became an S-corp years ago and nobody has checked since whether your salary still fits what the company earns.
  • You pay for things like your phone, mileage or home office yourself, and the company isn't reimbursing you under a proper plan.
  • You want your personal return and your business return handled together by the same people.
  • Your company is growing, maybe across several states or into real estate, and the tax side is getting harder to keep up with.

This Is Not For:

  • Employees and individuals who only need a personal return filed.
  • Businesses doing under $500K a year.
  • Owners looking for a one-off project or a single service, like one return filed or a quick bookkeeping cleanup.
  • Owners who want to keep their books, payroll and returns split across people who never talk to each other.

100% Done-For-You

Here's Everything We Do For You

One ongoing engagement covers all of it, run by your advisor with a team of CPAs and enrolled agents.

We Start With A Kick-Off Call

Your advisor starts with a kick-off call about your goals and reviews last year's return and your accounting setup, then spends 30 to 45 days with you finding where you're overpaying.

We Set Your Owner Pay

We run a reasonable compensation calculation for your S-corp, so the salary you take through payroll fits what the company earns today, not what it earned years ago.

We Set Up Your Reimbursement Plan

We put an accountable or health reimbursement plan in place, so the company covers the costs it legitimately can instead of you paying them out of your own pocket.

We Keep Your Books Current

We handle your bookkeeping monthly or quarterly, reconcile your accounts and turn it into financial reports, so every tax decision is made with real numbers.

We Run Payroll And File It

We handle payroll for your employees and contractors and file your 940s and 941s, W-2s and 1099s, so your own salary runs through payroll the right way.

We Prepare Both Of Your Returns

A dedicated tax analyst collects your documents through our secure portal, a preparer builds your business and personal returns, a senior reviewer checks them, and your advisor walks you through them before filing.

Does It Actually Work?

“
Our financial advisor introduced us to Don and the team at Private Tax Solutions after a few years of work with a CPA firm that had completely lost our confidence. ... The Private Tax Solutions team has been PHENOMENAL!! They've been excellent educators and partners who gave us transparency, detailed service and real time response.

Still On The Fence?

Frequently Asked Questions

I already have someone preparing my taxes. Why would I need you?+
Tax preparation reports what already happened, after the year is over. Planning looks at the decisions in front of you, like your S-corp salary or when a big purchase goes into service, before you make them. We do both with one team, so the strategy set during the year is the strategy your return reflects.
Do I have to move my bookkeeping and returns over to you?+
In most cases, yes. We don't take on one-off or single-service work, because a tax strategy only holds up when the books, payroll and returns are built around it. Our most successful clients pair tax strategy with tax preparation or monthly accounting with us.
What does it cost?+
Business plans start at $498 a month on our pricing page, and the final fee depends on the scope of work. We typically aim for a return of 3 to 7 times our annual fee. Don quotes your fee up front on the strategy call, before you commit to anything.
Can you handle my personal and business taxes together?+
Yes, that's how we work by default. We prepare your company's return and your own, and your advisor reviews both side by side, so your salary, your distributions and any reimbursements line up across the two.
When will I actually see the savings?+
Several of the moves that matter most, like the salary you run through payroll and any equipment the company puts into service, only count if they happen by December 31. The savings show up when your return is filed, and that return reflects the work we did during the year.
Do you only work with businesses in Utah?+
No. Our home base is Salt Lake City, with offices in Park City, Lehi, Provo, Gilbert, Arizona and Meridian, Idaho, and we work with business owners around the country online.
Who will actually work on my account?+
Your advisor leads it, backed by CPAs and enrolled agents, an accounting manager and tax analysts. Don Hayden, our managing partner, is an enrolled agent with an MBA and years as a CFO for fast-growing companies, so he reads your numbers the way an owner would.
What should I bring to the strategy call?+
Your 2025 business return, your own 2025 return and a rough idea of where profit stands this year. Estimates are fine, and they let Don point to specific places your bill could come down instead of general ideas.
One Last Step

Ready To Find Out Where Your Business Is Overpaying In Taxes?

On the strategy call, Don goes over your revenue, your setup and what you have planned this year. Then he names the 2 or 3 places he'd expect your tax bill to come down and what can still happen before December 31.
